Montague Launches New Folding Road Bike for Fitness Riders
New FIT Provides Full-Sized Ride with a Compact Fold for Easy Storage
CAMBRIDGE, MA – May 11, 2016 – Montague Bikes, the leader in full-size folding bikes, has launched the all-new FIT, a bicycle designed to deliver top-rated performance and portability to road riders and health conscious consumers looking to reach their fitness goals. Its full-size wheels and folding design offer the perfect solution to those looking for a versatile bike for club rides and endurance trips that can easily fit in the car trunk or be stored in the closet at home.
The FIT delivers the speed of a road bike and the versatility of a city bike with a convenient design that can be quickly folded and stored once the ride is complete. With a 30-speed Shimano drivetrain, the FIT offers a wide range of gears perfect for hilly climbs, deep descents and long road excursions. Featuring disc brakes, a carbon fiber fork, and 28mm tires, the FIT is positioned among the industry’s best endurance road bikes.
When folded, the bike compacts to just 36 inches wide, 28 inches high and 12 inches deep, ideal for tight storage spaces. It also weighs only 26 lbs, making it very light and portable. Its industry standard components make repairs and customizations possible with any aftermarket parts.
Like all Montague bikes, the FIT includes the patented DirectConnect™ folding system that provides increased frame stiffness for superior ride quality, and can be folded and unfolded in less than 20 seconds. The FIT retails for $1,295.00.
