For 2009 we decided to give you something to look forward to. The TX, LX, and XO have all seen changes for the new year and are better than ever.
The new SwissBike TX has been further refined and developed into a bike that truly does it all. For 2009 the TX features an SR Suntour SF-9 suspension fork with rebound adjust. Compared to the 2008 model, this fork has 63mm of travel which translates into more efficient/easier pedaling for the rider, while still retaining the ability to ride off road smoothly. To compliment this suspension upgrade, the TX also features 1.5″ Kenda Kwest slicks both front and rear. These tires offer low rolling resistance on road while still offering enough tread to play in the dirt.
You spoke, we listened. The 2009 SwissBike LX now features rear disc brake tabs in addition to the standard front tabs. This allows riders to install a rear disc for added stopping power and increased performance in wet weather. Well placed cable guides allow the LX to fold without crimping or bending hydraulic cables.
Also for 2009, the SwissBike LX boasts an upgrade to Shimano SLX drivetrain components. This new component group is slated to be more focused on All Mountain and rugged off road riding, providing bullet proof shifting under all conditions. To compliment the rugged nature of this upgrade, we’ve added a replaceable derailluer hanger to the SwissBike LX. This means that if your rear derailluer gets caught up on a log or rock, the hanger gets bent rather than the frame of the bike. Basically it’s giving you more reason to ride hard.
This year’s SwissBike XO is as fast as ever. Taking the upgrades seen on the SwissBike LX and refining them, the XO features Avid Juicy 7 hydraulic disc brakes both front and rear as well as a full SRAM XO drivetrain and a fully tunable Rock Shox Recon 351 suspension fork.
