Montague Upgrades Successful Models
For the urban and transportation market Montague Corporation introduced the Boston 8 this autumn, a bicycle designed for ease of use in a city. The Boston 8 has the same clean frame design as their popular Boston single speed bike and features an 8-speed internal hub, full-size 700c wheels and front and rear mud guards. In the high-end folding bike category, the FIT, designed for speed and the high-performance minded rider, will have carbon forks plus an upgraded drivetrain including FSA crank and Shimano Tiagra derailleur. For components, Montague presented the Octagon adjustable stem, already standard equipment on two Montague bikes. It will be available as an aftermarket component from independent bike dealers beginning this fall. The Octagon allows for up to 120 millimetre of stem adjustment without the use of tools and is compatible with all 1 1/8″ threadless steerer tubes and stems. As with all Montague bikes, these models feature Montague’s patented folding technology, which allows their bikes to fold in less than 30 seconds, without the use of tools and without cuts to the bike frame.
