The Paratrooper Highline: A Folding Bike for Backcountry Exploration

Montague Bikes, the leader in full-size folding bikes, has launched the all-new Paratrooper Highline, a high performance mountain bike designed to handle serious trails and fold easily for transportation and storage. Exploring the outdoors by bike has never been so convenient.

Originally conceived for use by military paratroopers dropping into combat, Montague folding bikes represent the ultimate in rugged portability. The Paratrooper Highline is equipped with a 20-speed Shimano drivetrain, hydraulic disc brakes, and Rockshox suspension to provide exceptional off-road performance. 27.5″ wheels and wide 2.1″ tires match those found on the industry’s top cross-country trail bikes. It can take you into remote backcountry while still folding for the car trunk, closet, or train when the ride is over.

In less than 20 seconds this bike compacts to just 36 inches wide, 28 inches high and 12 inches deep, ideal for car trunks and tight storage spaces. Montague’s patented DirectConnect™ folding system does not break the frame tubing like other folders, creating an extremely rigid bike that you would never image can fold. The bike’s standard components make repairs and customizations possible at any bike shop. The Paratrooper Highline retails for $1,245.00.
