It’s a great multipurpose bike. Just what I wanted for off and on road riding!
Ben –
Super bike! Minimal tuning right out of the box. Fits in my trunk so less likely to be stolen.
RSup22 –
I wanted something I could take in my car to mountain bike with. The Paratrooper folds down really easily, and I can fit it no problem in the trunk. The ride is great. The shifting works well – from Shimano. Overall this is a solid bike, not top of the line, but I’ve upgraded a few things and it works perfectly for me
Max –
It gives me the ability to take it anywhere since I can fit it in my car trunk but it is an entry level mountain bike. I could see upgrading some components at some point. It has handled some rough riding really well and the frame is very sturdy. That surprised me for a folder. I definitely recommend it!
Logan –
I like the standard size and the folding mechanism. It’s a great bike for my needs but wish it came with the RackStand.
JAL –
Very stable mountain bike. Smooth shifting. The change to fold and unfold the bike is uncomplicated and fast. I would buy this bike again.
Jess –
I’m thrilled with this mountain bike! It performs very well on the trails I ride but it also rides well on paved roads. That is because the tire tread is smooth enough to ride on paved roads but still knobby for better grip on dirt and gravel. It is totally worth the cost because it folds! And it is easy to do and fits in just about any car. Excellent quality.

This is such a unique bike! I’m very satisfied with my choice of the Express. The folding and unfolding process is outstanding in ease of use and convenience. If you’re looking for a solid mountain bike and could benefit by saving storage and travel space go for this!
Melissa –
I was torn between getting this bike and spending a lot more for the upgraded Paratrooper. I’ve had the Express for about 2 months and so far I’m quite happy. My main concerns were brakes (since other Montague bikes have disc brakes) and the fewer number of gears on this bike. The normal rim brakes on this bike have been good even in the rain so no complaints there. The 18 speeds is also more than enough for me as I found I rarely go through all of them. If I ride unpaved trails they’re pretty tame. I don’t ride intense mountains so this bike is fine for them. Good value.

I’m new to mountain biking but I wanted something that I could store in limited space. I had heard about Montague and knew that they were full-size bikes that folded. With questions about the right size I had a great call with customer service and ended up purchasing the 16″ Express. It is just perfect for me and I love the bright blue color.
Alex M Santiago –
I would easily pay 2000 dollars for this top quality bike even though it’s only 600 dollars. The best bike I ever owned. .
Sheldon Bluestein –
Really great bike. It goes on city streets, and on mountain roads. Well done.
Lifin pulikkal –
It’s really amazing. I am so happy too.
Joe Paroulek –
I purchased one bike for myself and another for my wife. My bike arrived undamaged but my wife’s bike arrived with the rear derailleur bent into the spokes of the rear wheel. I was able to repair the damaged bike and found that both bikes needed adjustment of both the derailleurs. Otherwise this is a very nice bike. The frame is the same as that used for Montague’s other mountain bikes so it is very strong and the folding system is excellent. The threaded fork is much nicer than I expected and looks like it will hold up to any trial I plan on riding. The stem has several inches of adjustment so the handle bars can be raised for a more comfortable riding position. When folded, both bikes fit easily into my car or my plane. Overall, I am very pleased with the bikes and would recommend them to anyone who needs a folding bike.
