Montague Launches Edgy New Folding Bike for Style Conscious Men

CAMBRIDGE, MA – July 22, 2016 – Montague Bikes, the leader in full-size folding bikes, has launched a new bicycle inspired by the sleek, lightweight and durable bikes first made popular by bike messengers. The single speed and fixed gear bikes often used by couriers deliver a quick and responsive ride with a sleek look that appeals to urban male consumers. Ideal for tackling city streets and making fast getaways, the Montague Boston has the added benefit of being able to fold into a slim profile for the train, car trunk, or city apartment.
The Boston is the first full-size single speed bike with a folding design. The bike, which comes in a stylish and minimal matte black, also includes a flip-flop rear hub that can be switched to allow either a fixed-gear or free-wheel setup. Folding bikes, such as the Boston are ideally suited for urban living. They allow for quick and easy access to any point in a city, and allow riders to avoid gridlock traffic and paying for public parking. Unlike standard bikes, the Boston can be quickly folded and brought inside workplaces and other establishments, thereby protecting it from the elements and possible theft.
When folded, the Boston compacts to just 36 inches wide, 28 inches high and 12 inches deep, perfect for tight storage spaces. It also weighs only 24 lbs, making it extremely light and portable. Like all Montague bikes, the Boston includes the patented DirectConnect™ folding system that provides unmatched frame stiffness for superior ride quality, and can be folded and unfolded in less than 20 seconds. Its simple design and industry standard components make repairs and customizations possible with any off the shelf parts. The Boston retails for $699.95.
