Montague Launches New Comfort Folding Bike for Moms on the Go
The Crosstown Provides Full-Sized Ride with Compact Fold for Easy Storage
CAMBRIDGE, MA – October 20, 2016 – Montague Bikes, the leader in full-size folding bikes, has launched the all-new Crosstown, an economical multi-purpose bicycle designed to deliver a comfortable and ergonomic riding experience to moms with families on the go. Its full-size wheels and folding design offer the perfect solution to those looking for a versatile bike that can fit easily in the car trunk or be stored in the closet at home.
Well-equipped with a 7-speed Shimano drivetrain, the twist shifter and Mega-Range gearing provide easy shifting and extra low gears for hills. Wide 35mm tires and a comfort saddle offer a smooth ride, while the Crosstown’s Octagon steering system allows the handlebar height to be adjusted with just the click of a button. Raising them provides an upright riding position to reduce stress on the back and neck. Its rugged road tires are ideal for pavement and light trails, allowing riders the ability to go wherever they desire. Attaching a bike trailer to the rear of the Crosstown is also easy.
When folded, the bike compacts to just 36 inches wide, 28 inches high and 12 inches deep, ideal for parents who may have limited storage. It also weighs only 28 lbs, making it very light and portable. Taking the Crosstown to the local park or bike path with the kids and their bikes in tow is as easy as putting it in the trunk. No need to deal with cumbersome bike racks. Industry standard components also make repairs and customizations possible at any bike shop.
Like all Montague bikes, the Crosstown includes the patented DirectConnect™ folding system that provides increased frame stiffness for superior ride quality, and can be folded and unfolded in less than 20 seconds. The Crosstown retails for $659.95.
